During their regular meeting on Monday, June 12th the Longview ISD Board of Trustees loosened the district dress code, approved a plan to convert old school buses into food trucks, engaged the services of architects for facility inspections and improvements, and amended the 2023-24 District Calendar.

Congratulations to The Lamplighter Award winner Anthony Bolanos and honoree Coach Jabori Jackson. We had the opportunity to celebrate them during the 23rd annual Lamplighter Awards Banquet. The evening brought together inspiring educator from across LISD and truly showcased the caring individuals that work in our district.
Anthony honored Coach with these kind words, “Coach Jackson is a motivation, inspiration, and a very good role model to me. He helps me become stronger mentally and physically. He teaches me daily to do things right, and he never lets me give up. Thank you, Coach Jackson, for making me a better athlete and student.”
